Catching Up With: John Andretti

While he never finished higher than fifth in the Indianapolis 500, you'd be hard pressed to find a more beloved driver in this city than John Andretti. Andretti's long racing career included over 400+ starts in IndyCar and NASCAR, and despite being a Pennsylvania native, he still calls Indianapolis "home". 

The former driver has especially endeared himself to the community with his tireless philanthropic work for Riley Children's Hospital, highlighted by his annual Race 4 Riley in New Castle. The event, which started over two decades ago, has raised almost $4 million for Riley, with every dollar going directly to the hospital. 

Sadly, a man that has done so much for others fighting disease, is now in a fight of his own against colon cancer. John shared the details of his ongoing battle with us, and discussed the upcoming Race 4 Riley, as we caught up with him earlier on today's show. Take a listen:
