The season starts today, and if you were hoping for encouraging news about Andrew Luck's status, it looks like you aren't going to get your wish. Jason La Canfora of CBS reported this morning that Luck hasn't even entered the intensive throwing portion of his rehab and is still "weeks away":
The good news? It appears he'll be practicing "soon", whatever that means. Owner Jim Irsay also told us a month ago that he'd be ready "around the start of the season", so you have to take these vague timetables with a major grain of salt.
With La Canfora's report and adding up everything we already knew, the optimistic return for Luck is Week 4 (October 1st) in Seattle. However, with the way this has gone, being optimistic about anything feels foolish.
