A former Hoosier star, who several years ago was perhaps the best pro prospect on the entire IU campus, has run into some trouble in California.

James Hardy had an altercation with police in Los Angeles which resulted in him being tased and taken into custody.  According to Zach Osterman of the IndyStar, three police officers were injured in the fracas.

Hardy is Indiana's all-time leading receiver, and helped lead the Hoosiers to their only bowl appearance (Insight Bowl, 2007) in the last two decades.  His quickly washed-out of the NFL after being a second round pick of the Bills, accounting for only ten career receptions in two seasons.

His only charge so far is resisting arrest.
