Shocking news tonight as Colts Pro Bowl punter Pat McAfee has announced his retirement:
The fan-favorite spent all eight of his NFL seasons in Indy, and built a brand for himself thanks in part to an infamous swimming incident in the Broad Ripple canal in 2010. He had become a Pro Bowl player in two of the past three seasons, making the All-Pro team in 2014.
Is this an elaborate hoax? Maybe, but given stories like these from the IndyStar about McAfee's recent surgical history, it sure seems like it is for real.
Special Teams, the lone strength of this Colts' team, will now take a major hit with Pat's departure.
