Billy Donovan Talked IU, too

Billy Donovan is only in his second season in the NBA, but there has been speculation that he would like to return to the college game. Due to that speculation, he's naturally been linked to the Indiana job, which at this point is the biggest vacancy available.

Donovan was asked about it yesterday before Oklahoma City's game in Toronto:

Landing Donovan, a former two-time National Champion and a guy who helped build Florida into a top-level program in his 20 years there, would be a huge coup for Indiana. Unlike other candidates (cough Steve Alford cough), Donovan has shown himself to be a consistent winner and his Gator teams were often in contention for titles.

Would he leave behind the NBA's most dynamic player, a terrific franchise, and the remaining three years and $18 million left on his contract? That remains to be seen. But, if his heart is set on coming back to college hoops, it's doubtful a job as good as Indiana is going to open up in the near future.
