You should never take Fantasy Football seriously, yet some people took Fantasy Football way too seriously. Thanks to a few complaints, notably from Shaun King, ESPN apologized today for a Fantasy Football auction that some felt too closely resembled a slave auction:

My take? The problem is that white players were being auctioned off, too, and it's a freaking Fantasy Football auction. While we do have things in society that are legitimately offensive, not everything needs to be taken so seriously.
