Colts Cut McAfee's Replacement

Jeff Locke was given a two-year deal and $1.2 million guaranteed to fill Pat McAfee's shoes, but the Colts didn't like what they saw from him this offseason. They released the veteran this morning:


The decision is odd considering that Locke wasn't noticeably bad, and the Colts have to eat a decent chunk of change to move on from him. The only other punter on the roster is rookie Rigoberto Sanchez, who has to be the presumptive starter - barring another signing this week - with with just thirteen days left until the season opener in Los Angeles
