LISTEN: Query & Schultz live at Purdue!

We had a great time in our annual pilgrimage to Purdue! In our visit today, we talked to Purdue President Mitch Daniels, Athletic Director Mike Bobinksi, and senior guard P.J. Thompson. Below, you'll find those conversations. (You can find the Matt Painter conversation here.)

Purdue president Mitch Daniels

The school president discusses the positive momentum for Purdue athletics after major hires in football and athletic director in the past thirteen months, and gives his take on how to corral rising college education costs.

Purdue Athletic Director Mike Bobinski:

It's already been a full year on the job for Bobinski, who was given the task of revamping Purdue's moribund football program. He talked with us about his assessment of Jeff Brohm early in his tenure, a re-emphasis on marketing the Boilers in Indianapolis, and his outlook for Purdue hoops this upcoming season.

Purdue senior guard P.J. Thompson:

There were many who thought that Thompson wasn't good enough to be a Big Ten basketball player, but guard has 100 games under his belt entering his senior year, and is one of the leaders of the team. He talked about overcoming the critics, and his special bond with the other members of Purdue's talented four-player senior class.
