Chris Farley was a huge deal to me and my friends.
Back when Saturday Night Live was still a viewing staple, we'd often crash at someone's house on Saturdays to stay up late to watch SNL and play Sega Genesis. I'm pretty sure that most of us are still able to quote Tommy Boy and his numerous cameos in movies like Wayne's World and Billy Madison by heart.
I was a freshman in high school twenty years ago tonight, taking the floor for a rec league basketball game. I remember a kid named Chris Barosci told us of Farley's passing, and everyone was silent for most of that game. (I would say it affected by scoreless performance, but I kind of sucked to begin with.)
R.I.P. to an incredibly talented comedian, who we lost way too soon...
