Adam Vinatieri isn't hanging them up... yet.
Colts and kicker Adam Vinatieri officially have reached agreement on a one-year deal, per source. Back to break the all-time NFL scoring record.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) February 22, 2018
Barring a fluke injury, the 45-year old will become the NFL's all-time leading scorer and field goal kicker next season, passing Morten Anderson for both marks. He's only seven made kicks and 57 overall points behind the Hall-of-Famer.
However, once those records are his, will that be it? Vinatieri hasn't necessarily given an indication that he'll definitely call it quits but coming back on a one-year deal makes you wonder.
Amazingly, the guy has played since the 1996 season!
