For teams who are desperate for a quarterback, the Colts' #3 overall selection in the upcoming NFL Draft is a hot commodity. That includes Buffalo, who just traded away Tyrod Taylor, and is rumored to be making a strong push to get into the top five:
Based on what the #Bills received in the Cordy Glenn trade, I’d be surprised if they don’t end up in the Top 10.. or Top 5 by Draft Night. They are on the move for a QB and everyone will be calling.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 12, 2018
Judging on what teams have given up to trade up for quarterbacks in recent drafts, you can imagine that the price to get to #3 would be a hefty one. For Philly to trade up with Cleveland from #8 to #2 to nab Carson Wentz, they have to give up two #1s, a #2, and a #3 pick. Buffalo owns the 12th and 22nd picks in the First Round, but that alone wouldn't be enough to jump up nine spots. They would likely have to part with another pick (53rd overall?) as well to match the draft capital they would be acquiring.
