One of the neat things about getting to host a sports radio show is getting to occasionally talk to legendary figures. However, it is very rare when you get to speak with someone who's legacy reaches far beyond their time as an athlete.
That's certainly the case with the great Billie Jean King. The 39-time Grand Slam champion (including twelve Singles titles) joined us on today's show while spending some time in Indianapolis to accept the Health Champion Award from Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield.
King spoke about receiving the award, her competitive drive during her adolescence, and Query's idea for a Ryan White statue downtown. Take a listen:
