Could the Pacers Make a Play for Kawhi?

The rocky Kawhi Leonard/San Antonio relationship seems to be heading for divorce.

Although he's still under contract with the Spurs, Leonard's camp has reportedly leaked that he would like to be traded elsewhere - with his preferred destination being Los Angeles:

Just because he wants to go to L.A., doesn't mean San Antonio has to trade him there. The Spurs and Lakers have been rivals through most of the 21st century, and I can't imagine Gregg Popovich would be thrilled to send his best player there. Sort of like Paul George with the Pacers last year, the Spurs have to make the best deal for them, and that may come from Indiana.

Domas Sabonis or Myles Turner would likely have to be the centerpiece, plus Darren Collison and Bojan Bogdanovic (to make the salaries match), with throw-ins such as  T.J. Leaf and (at least) a future first-round pick. Would that trade package be attractive enough for San Antonio? Meh. It's not great, but if they're really desperate to keep Kawhi out of the West, then that might be the sort of return value that they're looking at.
