Purdue Recruiting on a Roll

Purdue football's turnaround has only taken about one year.

Last season, new head coach Jeff Brohm took an under-talented roster and squeezed out Purdue's first Bowl win and winning season since 2011. A beautiful new football facility also debuted last year, along with Ross-Ade Stadium getting a few coats of paint. Everything is changing in a positive way for Purdue Football right now, including in perhaps the most important area of all: recruiting.

Monday was a huge day for Jeff Brohm and his staff as they landed two more big-time committments into a 2019 recruiting class that is already earning national praise.

Faucheux is especially a big get.

The Ohio product is one of Purdue's highest-rated committments in the class and had a laundry list of impressive offers like Alabama, Penn State, Florida, and Tennessee. It also shows that Brohm, known for being an offensive guru, can lure defensive talent to West Lafayette, too.

Sheffield, who is rated four stars by some recruiting outlets, recently de-committed from Notre Dame to choose the Boilers. He has an impressive offer list of his own, choosing the Boilers over Georgia, Penn State, Ohio State, and Stanford among any others.

Purdue's recruiting class has drawn national attention, as it's currently rated 21st in the country by 247Sports and fourth in the Big Ten:

Thankfully, Brohm is already making the Hope and Hazell eras a distant memory.
