Two of the most historic (or insufferable, depending on your viewpoint) teams in American sports are getting together for a special collaboration, and it celebrate it, Notre Dame released Yankees-themed uniforms yesterday.
The Irish will wear these "kits" for their November game against Syracuse at Yankee Stadium, as part of their annual Shamrock Series. I'll let you formulate your own opinion by taking a glance at these... um... creative threads:
Personally, I can live with the helmet, but the pinstripe sleeves are a big no-go for me. It's slightly more palatable with the pinstripe pants, but there's something wrong about pinstriped football pants. It works for baseball and even basketball (in some cases), but not football.
