Barely a day after the report of Bob Lamey's use of the n-word in re-telling a story, that word was connected to Derek Daly from a 1983 interview. Due to that connection, Daly was fired from his 30+ year stint as a racing analyst on WISH-TV.
The former driver joined us in-studio to give his side of the story - he said a cultural misunderstanding from Ireland to the U.S. led to his ignorance in using the word - and tackle some the inaccuracies of the original report.
