If you're panicking about Andrew Luck's latest injury, the Colts say RELAXXXXXXXXX.
Luck is missing practice this week with a foot injury that he reportedly suffered in Saturday's win over San Francisco, but the team says that it's a minor thing. Head coach Frank Reich said yesterday that his franchise quarterback will resume practice next week and you'd have to assume that means Luck will be good-to-go for the game against Cincinnati that actually counts - Sunday, September 9th:
QB Andrew Luck (foot) will practice on Monday (Sept. 3) when the Colts start to get ready for their Week 1 game against Cincinnati, coach Frank Reich said. The Colts will have a walk through Wednesday before Thursday preseason finale against the Bengals.— Mike Wells (@MikeWellsNFL) August 28, 2018
Since it's difficult to pinpoint when Luck's foot injury occurred, there are some conspiracy theories floating around that there isn't a foot injury and that something flared up with the shoulder. I'm not going to speculate on that, but you can understand why fans are distrusting of the Colts when it comes to these things.
I'm going to choose to be optimistic, take them at their word, and prepare to see #12 under center next Sunday.
