Purdue lost a wild, back-and-forth game last night with Missouri, but may Boiler fans were upset about a late overturn on their last drive.
The play, which was ruled a catch on the field, would've given Purdue a four-point (assuming a PAT make) cushion with just a few minutes remaining. However, officials felt like Jared Sparks didn't have control of the ball:
Yes, Missouri moved the ball all night, so there's not much reason to think they weren't capable of scoring a game-winning touchdown had they been trailing. That said, the entire context of the game changes with Purdue up four as opposed to it being a tie score.
