The architect of Purdue football's amazing turnaround isn't going anywhere - at least for right now: Jeff Brohm is staying at Purdue.
Despite wrestling with a decision to take the job in his hometown and alma mater of Louisville, Brohm released a statement this evening that he's staying put in West Lafayette:
The decision ends weeks of speculation that Brohm could be heading back to the place where he grew up and starred as a quarterback. There was also a false report that he was taking the Cardinals job, which of course never ended up coming to fruition.
It’s great news for Purdue as they have a highly-regarded recruiting class coming in and the momentum of back-to-back Bowl seasons to build upon. While the details surrounding his decision have yet to emerge, you’d have to assume Mitch Daniels and Mike Bobinski made good on their promises to “do everything we can” to keep Brohm a Boilermaker.
