Indy Eleven Heading to Broad Ripple?

Through the years of different stadium proposals for the Indy Eleven, one thing had remained the same: the desire to be downtown.

However, this time around, the Eleven seemed to have changed their tune. Reports are that the soccer club is targeting Broad Ripple as one of their potential sites for a new stadium, and that they've already offered to buy Broad Ripple High School:

The school closed its doors last year for good and this is the first sports-related proposal for the site/land. I can understand why the Eleven would like to be in Broad Ripple, because it has a younger population and is a stone's throw from Union Jack Pub, the traffic situation for a 20,000-seat stadium sounds like a nightmare.

We're still very early on in this process, but I'm interested to see how it all unfolds. I'm not anti-stadium for the Indy Eleven - I just want a proposal that is going to include little-to-no public funding. This most recent one is definitely a step in the right direction.
