Colts Can Their Offensive Line Coach

The Colts have made their first move of the 2019 offseason and it's a surprising one: they've fired offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo.

DeGuglielmo, like defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, was inherited by Reich after he was originally hired by Josh McDaniels. The Colts offensive line was one of the biggest surprised in the entire NFL this year, yielding the fewest sacks (18) in the league despite injuries to Anthony Castonzo and Ryan Kelly.

This doesn't sound like a performance-based decision as reports are Reich simply wants to hire his own guy. That said, could there be more to this story? DeGuglielmo butted heads with Denzelle Good, who let his unhappiness with his former position coach known after his release, and was what most would call an "old-school" guy. We'll see if this ends up being anything more than what the Colts/Reich say it is.
