WATCH: 25th Anniversary of "Who the Hell is Mel Kiper?"

25 years ago, the Colts' franchise was in a much different place. They had yet to win a playoff game in Indianapolis and their eleven seasons to that point had pretty much been a trainwreck. But, when Bill Tobin got called out by Mel Kiper Jr., things started to turn around for the franchise - and this sound byte reached legendary status:

Honestly, both guys ended up being wrong. Kiper didn't want the Colts to take Faulk over a QB (Heath Shuler or Trent Dilfer), and Faulk went on to become one of the greatest running backs of all-time. Dilfer was the starter for the 2000 Super Bowl champion Ravens, but had an unspectacular career overall. The guy the Colts stuck with at quarterback, Jim Harbaugh, helped lead them to the brink of the Super Bowl in 1995 and is enshrined in the team's Ring of Honor.

However, in Kiper's defense, Trev Alberts was a total bust. He played just three injury-riddled seasons and was completely out of football after the 1996 season. So, his second meltdown when they passed on a quarterback at #5 was mostly warranted.

It's fun to re-live one of the Draft's greatest feuds today.
